Vuframe® Doctor: check your kiosk PC and send a report

Vuframe® KioskUpdated

Videos do not play, the app is slow, or the content does not update? Vuframe® Doctor checks the PC and sends the result to Vuframe support. You do not need admin rights.

Download Vuframe® Doctor for Windows 4.4 MB, signed by Vu3D Software GmbH, SHA-256 checksum

How to use it

  1. Download the file and double-click VuframeDoctor.exe.
  2. If Windows SmartScreen shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info, then Run anyway. The publisher is Vu3D Software GmbH.
  3. Wait about 30 seconds. The Doctor shows three steps: Collect, Send and Done. It checks the PC (system data, graphics, video playback, frame rate) and sends the report.
  4. When it shows Report sent successfully, close the window. If we ask for it, tell us the report ID that the Doctor shows (for example 6773-D8A0).
  5. No internet? The Doctor shows an error, saves a file Vuframe-Report-<date>.zip on your desktop and opens an e-mail to support@vuframe.com. Attach the zip file and send the e-mail. To try again, click Send again at the top right.

What the report contains

Windows version and edition, video codecs, graphics card and driver, screens, free disk space, power plan, installed Vuframe® Kiosk apps with version and content revision, network connection to Vuframe, and the kiosk log files.

The report also contains a device ID. It is the same ID that the Vuframe® Kiosk uses (%USERPROFILE%\.vu3d\device.json). If there is no ID yet, the Doctor makes one. With this ID, we can identify the PC across reports.

Access keys and your Windows user name are removed. The computer name is included.

Vuframe® Kiosk 1.2.0 and newer

The Doctor is installed with the Vuframe® Kiosk. On the launch screen, open Help → Support Center. It checks the most common problems and sends the same report with one click.
